About Betsy Armour
I'm the photographer's daughter. I grew up with my mom working in the studio. I'll never forget the way her Hassleblad sounded when she would hit the shutter and wind the film. My dad also loves photography. He is more the journalistic-hobby type. So, I can honestly say, I picked up the shutterbug from my parents.
I graduated from Moorhead State University with a B.S. in Mass Communications concentrating in Public Relations. I took photography as an elective with a very well-known local photographer, Wayne Gudmundson. I believe that is when my interest in photography was piqued and I fully started to enjoy film photography and developing.
When I started my career, I had various projects that required photography and so I easily progressed from film photography to digital. I no longer work with film photography, now digital is the love of my life.
Photography has always been natural to me. I wouldn't call myself a professional, but an amateur photographer that hopes to be as good, if not better than those I have had the privilege to study under.
